Flexion/Extension

Flexion is the decreasing of angle between two body segments, extension is the increasing of angle between two body segments.

Shoulder Slashers

Swinging shoulders back and forth (both sides), we will measure the maximum angle they have reached.

Elbow Curls

Trying to touch the shoulder (both sides), with minimal elbow movement, we will measure the minimum angle they have reached.

Winding Kickbacks

Swing the knee upwards as high as possible (both sides), and then with your toe reach as far back as possible (both sides), we will measure the maximum angle they have reached.

Trunk Flexion

Stand up with your feet planted firmly on the ground. Bend forward and reach towards the ground. Round your back as you bend forward. Keep your knees, shoulders, and neck relaxed. You should feel a stretch down your back.

Trunk Lateral Flexion

Stand up with your feet planted firmly on the ground. Bend to the left, running your left arm down the side of your left leg. Do not move your hips. You should feel a stretch down your right side. Vice versa.

Trunk Rotation

Stand up with your feet planted firmly on the ground. Rotate your entire trunk towards the left, twisting through your back. You should feel a stretch down your right side. Vice versa.
